Mortar AI Appoints James Zipeure as Group CEO

Mortar AI, a prominent player in AI-driven marketing infrastructure, has appointed James Zipeure as its new Group Chief Executive Officer. The move comes as the company accelerates its international expansion across key markets in the UK, US, and Asia, and prepares for a broader rollout of its flagship product suite.

Zipeure brings a wealth of experience in marketing technology and operational leadership, having previously served as Group Chief Operating Officer at Havas ANZ and Chief Information Officer for APAC. He is also the founder of Exact AI, a performance automation platform, and has been a trusted advisor to global brands, agencies, and holding groups on building AI systems that deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

In his new role, Zipeure will oversee Mortar’s strategic growth initiatives, including the international rollout of its core products:

  • Mortar DS, the platform’s data and audience integration layer,
  • Helix, a campaign automation engine, and
  • MMM, a newly launched Marketing Mix Modelling module.

The announcement coincides with the official debut of Mortar’s integrated MMM solution, designed to enable brands to forecast, optimize, and reallocate marketing spend in real time—without disrupting existing technology ecosystems. The module is positioned as a key component of Mortar’s mission to make marketing more agile, data-driven, and accountable.
