Marketing and brand company Kantar has appointed two seasoned industry leaders, Lloyd Burdett and Allan Solomon, to its Consulting division. The strategic hires aim to deepen Kantar’s advisory capabilities across brand positioning, marketing, demand generation, and analytics.
Lloyd Burdett rejoins Kantar as Senior Partner, bringing over two decades of experience advising global brands such as Unilever, Pepsico, Google, Marriott Hotels, Samsung, and Nationwide. His previous tenure at Kantar Consulting included leading the global futures and innovation practice. Most recently, Burdett served as Chief Strategy Officer at purpose-led agency Given, where he played a pivotal role in its growth and subsequent acquisition by sustainability consultancy Anthesis. At Anthesis, he led the brand and communications division.
“In today’s political and economic climate, brands need to join the dots and work out what really impacts the bottom line,” said Burdett. “I’m looking forward to working with our team to help clients answer their most pressing business questions, navigate uncertainty, unlock new sources of growth, and find ways for their brands to connect to culture in a meaningful and different way.”
Joining as Partner and Head of Commercial Strategy, Allan Solomon brings over 20 years of cross-sector experience in marketing, brand strategy, and innovation, having worked both in-house and as a consultant. His track record includes senior roles at Sony—where he spearheaded the brand’s foray into mobile—as well as strategic positions at Carlsberg, Centrica, and SABMiller.
At Kantar, Solomon will lead efforts to refine the Consulting division’s brand and commercial strategy and expand its services into new sectors.
“I’m excited to be joining a team with a track record of leveraging the business’ intellectual property to add value for clients,” Solomon said. “To find new areas for growth and continue to compete in the market, clients need to spot the best opportunities for their specific businesses and be clear on their next move. That’s where our expertise can really shift the dial for brands.”
Natalie Vander Vorst, Managing Partner of Consulting for the UK & Ireland at Kantar, welcomed the new appointments: “Globally, our clients are facing numerous challenges—from disruptions in international trade and economic headwinds to rapidly evolving consumer expectations. That’s why we’re investing in bolstering our practice with two brilliant senior hires, so we can continue to provide the guidance our clients need to keep growing.”
The appointments underscore Kantar’s commitment to expanding its consulting offer and helping brands thrive amid complexity and change.
