Ramalingam takes over as CEO at Ipsos India

Ipsos has appointed Suresh Ramalingam as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for India. He succeeds Amit Adarkar, who is stepping down after a decade of heading the Indian operations.

Ramalingam, previously Chief Client Officer for APEC at Ipsos, brings over 20 years of experience across emerging markets, with leadership roles at Nielsen and Ipsos in Southeast Asia. In his new role, he will focus on accelerating growth, enhancing client engagement, and driving innovation. His appointment underscores Ipsos’ commitment to strengthening its presence in India, a key global market.

“India has achieved remarkable progress under Adarkar’s leadership,” said Ramalingam. “My focus will be on building upon this strong foundation—driving innovation, deepening client partnerships, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative work culture. With several new launches in the pipeline, we are well-positioned to help clients achieve their ambitious goals in an evolving business environment.”

Hamish Munro, CEO of Ipsos APEC, expressed strong confidence in the new leadership: “Ramalingam is a proven leader with a track record of delivering results across complex and diverse markets. Under his stewardship, we are confident that Ipsos India will continue to be a key growth engine and set new benchmarks for the region.”

With this transition, Ipsos reaffirms its commitment to India as a strategic market and continues its journey to deliver cutting-edge research, data-driven insights, and actionable strategies to help businesses succeed.
